My name is Rebecca Myers Jacob. The Rebecca Myers part is the missionary-kid me, the Rebecca Jacob part was the married me, and both parts of my life are what make me who I am today
I’ve spent almost four decades in Spain, enjoying people and serving the local church, the two things I love most about life. From a young age, I have walked closely with people, all kinds of people-- many cultures, many backgrounds—and I still love the human race. Why love anything else? After all, people are eternal and the only thing we can take from this life to the next and hopefully, something we did or said helped them along the road that leads there. So when I speak or write, I do it from a heart that loves people and wants to see them walk through life with their heads held high, in spite of disillusionment or hardship, and their hearts full because of the love and forgiveness that God brings.

Amistad Madrid is a growing church in the University area of town. It was started in 1987 as an international student Bible study, but over the years has evolved into a community that encompasses all ages and all walks of life. People from every Continent are a vital part of local church life and make Amistad Madrid, the vibrant church that it is. It is known nationwide as a church that reaches out to touch both Spain and the nations of the world, through national conferences, retreats, giving and going.
